Designed specifically for those working – or hoping to work – in international development, the programme seeks to develop skills, knowledge and understanding of conflict prevention and recovery with a particular emphasis upon: responding to the challenges of countries emerging from conflict; security sector reform; how to develop the rule of law; the importance of human rights in delivering justice and security; and broader issues relating to international security and the risks posed by countries emerging from, and vulnerable to, conflict.
The course is delivered fully online and enrolled students receive an iPad as part of their course fees together with a range of textbooks (both hard copy and E-books) delivered directly to their door, enabling them to study effectively at a distance.
